MEMORIES
Wednesday activity was very touching, funny, and very emotional for many including me. Well I did not share much in class, but I will share a little more in my blog. I am a little reserve when it comes to my personal life, and really do not open up to people until I know them a little better.
I will begin with the memory of my dear Mom which still brings me to tears at times. I remember the morning I received the phone call from my sister. It was Sunday morning the day before I was moving back home to San Antonio. We had finally got military orders for Texas, and I remember my Mom was so happy that I finally was moving back home. I had prayed for months that we would get these orders, and who would know I would lose her a day before I arrived. I remember flying home that morning hoping it was just a dream. It seemed like everything had changed in a split second, and it did my Mom was gone. I was sad, angry, and in shock, but glad that she was now in a better place. And I thank God for the years she shared with me. I love and miss her dearly, but know she’s always with me.
Other memory from long ago would be when everyone in my family liked each other. Yes the good old days, when everyone got along: aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. I remember growing up every weekend, bar b q, volley ball, cards etc… over at Grandma’s. But to have this happen today would be a miracle. It’s sad how the evilness of the world destroys love, friendship and happiness. (That’s if you let it???)
